Dear St. Michael's Parish Family,
Please see the write-up below for the Thanksgiving Items needed for our baskets. (We will take NON-EXPIRED food items only.....) We will need enough food for 45 baskets. If anyone is in need of a Thanksgiving Basket, please contact Mrs. Beth Chase at 525-4253. Donated Frozen Turkeys will be collected only on Monday, November 20th between 8-9AM. Baskets for families can be picked up on Monday morning, November 20th between 10AM-12Noon.
Below is the Christmas Wish List for the Children at Gray House. Please follow the directions from Kristen, and see her note below. We are asking that Parishioners purchase toys online, have them delivered to your house, and then we are asking that you drop the unwrapped toys in the bins that will be left inside the entry ways of the church over these next coming weeks. The deadline for the collecting of the toys will be on Sunday, November 19th.
From Kristen:
Here is the Amazon Wish List link created especially for St. Michael's: https://a.co/iNWoywA
I have added gifts that will hopefully appeal to a variety of ages and interests, and are offered at various price points. Items, once purchased, will be filtered from view so that duplicate purchases are not made. Please note that some gifts, are requested in quantities greater than one, as they are very popular gift requests. If a parishioner purchases one of these items, it will remain on the list until all of the requested items are bought.
I also added a few jackets and blankets to the list, as I was surprised by how many children requested these items last Christmas.
We will also need donations to our Outreach Program.
(Checks can be payable to: St. Michael’s Parish and in the MEMO line of the check please add: “Outreach/Open Pantry.”) We also have a few families that will need adopting for Christmas Lists. Please email Beth at beth.m.chase@ gmail.com if you would like to adopt a family or if you know of anyone in need of being adopted.
We are still in need of, $25 Target and $25 Walmart gift cards for the Homework House.
We are also still in need of $25 Big Y & $25 Stop & Shop cards which will be given out for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We love you, and appreciate all of your support for those less fortunate who are in our parish family!
Love, Fr. Wayne, Beth & The Office Staff
